First off, let me say that I love being here on the International scene. Everyone here has been great and I love talking and chatting with everyone of you.
Second - seeing that I myself am resideing in Canada - is it possible to care for and have feelings for some from across the ocean? Would there ever be apoint to "try" and devlop something with another person? And what about making that first contact - would geting a plane ticket and passprot be worth it?
It's certainly possible to care for somebody in a far off land...oh yes. As for popping over to see them...by all means try, but have realistic expectations.

Well, I thought on it one time, and there is nothing wrong with trying at least you making an effort...
I thnk it is possible to like someone from a different country, but you have to remember they have their ways of living that are different than yours and some people no matter how in love they think you are but their comforts first . Lets face it Love dont pay the rent or give you a job... Now if both party are willing to make a compromise then that is foot on the door...
I think it is possible, highly likely in some cases, to feel a connection with someone in another country, yes. Whether a trip overseas to meet was worth it could only be decided when the meeting happens.
Long distance relationships could work for a period of time as long as there was a view to possible re-location but as a permanent arrangement, I fear not.
Anyway, you'd already have a passport, wouldn't you? Its just the airfare then, the world is getting smaller all the time and flights are becoming cheaper. If it means you find happiness and fulfilment, I think it worth taking the chance........ a missed opportunity is a squandered opportunity!! JMO.

i think it'a all worth it! It's the millennium way of loving, living, spending moeny! If the feeling is intense, it's really worth to try...it will be exciting! As long as both carreers will be fine, as long as the person would be fine if considering to move.
I believe that one of the requests of beeing here is the comfort on relocating or accepting a love that might be on the other side of the ocean!
Yeah,it depends on the situation and the sincerity of the relationship coz sometimes it doesnt work like u want it to be. So, just be careful my friend there are too many fakers and scammers on the planet and they force us to become more careful about LDR and it causes us to miss the opportunity of our lives and maybe bcoz of that we miss our soulmates doesnt matter where they live at that moment but prejudice kills tthis kinda highly possible matches.. GD fakers and scammers
Grab your BAGS and go...Just do it.If anything you will at least have a chance to experience a new place, and a different culture. Life is way to short to second guess your heart...Leave the expectations behind when you leave for your rendevous...Enjoy the trip and your company, and if it is meant to... be it will be.
hi ya.Well i have seen it work,to be honest with you,,one relationship as far as usa,,,to here in derry,,and they r really happy,,and planning their future now together.they been together,,2 yrs To me what relationship is certain,,it all takes time, work and love,,,but i know,,if two people are sincere about each other,,anything can happen, good luck
I'm in the process of packing, preparing to move 750 miles to be married to my sweetheart next month. That's 750 miles as the crow flies, almost 900 miles as the road curves
I understand the relativity f the question but does everything in life depends on the way you see it????????? I don't know why this observation makes me feel...uneasy.
