Anyone who stands up for their beliefs is a hero in my mind.
The monarchy is just another way of perpetuating social control and I will/would have much more respect for them if they were just a tad more human. Its unreal - so many aspire to be like them, amassing wealth and property, inbreeding etc - all the wealthy families do it and are so 'well connected' - hahahaha 'Workers Unite' they should spread a bit of their privilidge, after all, what did most of em do to earn it - its mostly handed down wealth which stops it from ever being shared fairly - talk about the haves and have nots - so long as people accept the ?honours? it allows this unfairness to continue.

Hows about sending the queen to prison for so crudely flaunting all that wealth in the faces of people who leave school hardly able to spell because most of the schools, especially the inner city ones cant afford enough teachers. Not that spelling is the be all and end all, its more about effective teaching instilling confidence in pupils - and various other overlooked life skills too.

When I first went to live in Greece I couldnt understand how almost everyone I met, owned their own house and didnt have a mortgage. How could that be I wondered! Then I figured it out. Going back many many years people settled on land and claimed it as their own and then over the generations it was handed down to their children and their children and so on ... to this day.
Here in England the Monarchy owned the land and handed it down to their own and as favours etc., so the poor were left with nothing and so now to get a little piece of the action we have to mortgage our souls until now our children would have to be doing 3 jobs to be able to buy a shoebox size house.

Mortgages are sure big business arent they - everyone in the business is creaming off their bonuses and not realising that it continues to run the whole thing into the ground.
Lets not forget the church here as well. They own a lot of the prime land in England, second only to the Monarchy. Where those two institutions left off though the factory owners stepped in. Before the unions, when the factories started, the housing was tied to the job so - step out of line at work, ask for better conditions or pay and that was your lot - you and yr family were out on the street.
Now its the estate agents getting rich off the backs of the poor - oh, and walmart

Just checked this thread because I have been known to tell people to piss off, even as they are trying to hand me an award/reward. But had to laugh at how you all seem to be as fed up with the queen as we are with Bush! Does anyone actually approve of the person who "leads" their country LOL?
