not just the women either - it affects us all at some point.

How do you deal with asking somebody out, loads of people have trouble with that one.

What about being at a party where you dont know anybody

Theres loads of situations where it can affect us every day, giving a speech, standing up for yourself - anything - How've you beaten it?

thumbs up cheers I have gone through agonies with shyness myself and have no answers but maybe somebody has some solutions.

at parties i used to find it much worse if i was dreading it for days ahead cos then it would just turn into a self fulfilling prophesy - I would have convinced myself by the time I got there that i would feel out of place and so thats what i did - what a catch 22 rolling on the floor laughing the flippin things we convince ourselves of eh conversing but i guess its all part of human nature

its crazy cos at other times Im really outgoing laugh

well i know i shouldnt really admit it but i am really shy when it comes to things like that, it takes me a while to be able to pick up enough courage to ask somone out.
if i got invited to somewhere and i didnt know anyone i would have to think long and hard about going there cos i just would not feel comfortable in there.

i wasnt any good in school at speaking in front of class i used to just get so nervous i couldnt speak, i still get like that nowsigh

Ive just been having a read of the happiness institutes website and found some really happy stuff laugh

these are amongst them;

Doubt - thinking less than the best of yourself, others

Discouragement - wanting to throw in the towel before it is time

Envy - wondering why life has not given you as good a deal as someone else

Regret - dwelling on how things could have or should have been

Depression - feeling that life is closing in on you

Ingratitude - overlooking the many things you have to be
thankful for

its a good site - made me very happy and able to ignore lots of things which could upset me

rolling on the floor laughing
