I raraely get to watch TV but I watch it if it's on. I really miss Riverdale, it was an awesome show. At least it was at first. Then they kinda messed up the story lines too much. As for Coronation Street it seems I can miss 2 weeks of it and nothing seems to change.
I've never been around this many people who watch this stuff!!!
I'm sure being in Taylor you can get CBC channel 9 with your bunny ears. We have funny shows like 22 Minutes and Air Farce...and of course Red Green. I miss Kids In The Hall and Mr. Bean...don't see them on regula TV no more :( I need cable, I'm starting to miss TV lol!
No doubt. A lot of people in Michigan watch some of our TV and know their trivia about Canada. Seems canadians in my area know more about the U.S. than they do about Canada, because we are surrounded by american everything.
In general, and it's proven by polls, TEEN canadians know more about the U.S. than teen americans do. Canadian teens know more about Canada as well. This is all based on history and geography...basic stuff like naming states and capitols.
Used to watch it all the time....became a shift worker, tried to catch up on Sundays...but then shifts come into play there too.... Favorite characters....Fred Elliot...for repetition's sake. Les Battersby - the total anti-hero Noris - there's one in every crowd. Shelley - drop the deadbeat And the list goes on....
I have a line as well for each and every one of the characters too....but that is what makes them all so good, they're believable and typical British life.
I visited the set of Coronation Street in 1991 in Manchester. It is set in the middle of an actual row of street and looks just like the average street. That is what keeps the integrity, the setting being surrounded by the everyday average Joe and Josephine...
