Efron's theory of double perception has yet to be refuted or verified.

Briefed on the article.

That's science for you.

Who cares about proof science is based on the physical of what can be seen, touched, smelt, tasted, and heard but it has nothing to do with spirituality.

It's like going to a head shrink and him given pills than more for side effects till a person is a total junkie.
Now if that same person with to a pastor or psychologists they wouldn't be told they had chemical imbalances but rather they had issues to deal with spiritually.canada

Spirituality's for the weak-minded and is often used to disguise mental illness. The physical, the tangible, and the measurable is all that matters.

So what are you saying? Deja vu doesn't become spiritual phenomenon just because people look at it from a different angle. It is what it is.

Also, science and spirituality are completely different things. People keep putting them into the same category. Science is a tool, a method of explaining something. Spirituality is a belief system and doesn't explain anything.

What does that have to do with anything? Is that your come-back because you can't think of a real argument?

Name calling because one has a different belief,
and thinking in terms of absolutes is truly not
scientific or spiritual.

peace to you all.

Hmmm... Reckon I'll go down in flames, but here goes: How tangible are the mists on the river? How do you measure the beauty of a sunrise? Can you physically touch the look of wonder on a childs' face when they see their first snowfall?

I know that I'm obfuscating here. Still, I wouldn't want to live in your world - It seems very boring. And you'd never be able to survive in mine - It's based on mutual acceptance without condemnation.

deja vu is spiritual just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.

Who cares to be honest we think differently and I am happy to see that difference and respect you for it regardless.

I never said deja vu doesn't exist. Quite the opposite. You were the one saying that science can only explain "tangible" things. That's just not true. plarkin's article gave a good scientific explanation for the phenomenon.

Again, the "tangible" argument was not valid and not what science is about. You can easily explain all the things you mentioned with science.

My life is not boring at all. It's exciting to explain the world and not just accept it for what it is. That seems boring to me.

"Life is but a momentary glimpse of the wonder of the astonishing universe, and it is sad to see so many dreaming it away on spiritual fantasy."

I couldn't care either way I see what I see that's all!

And he said it was a disguise for mental illness just because his beliefs are different doesn't make anyone mentally ill and him sane.canada
