I feared the night,
Alone inside, with myself.
A stranger man you'll never meet,
I know this for a fact,
Because each day,
In the mirror,
This stranger and I greet.
And yesterday I was depressed
Because a girl said to me adieu.
But in that darkest night of souls,
The blackest sky will turn blue.
My hope I watered with a faerie tear
And soon the darkness will disappear,
And dawn, with smiles and lips to kiss,
Will, over the horizon, make my fears remiss.
