There is no “ideal” place, it’s what we make of it (trust me for the past 2 years I have travelled LOTS lol) I keep moving because I haven’t had a place that makes me want to stay. So the ideal place is where we find happiness either with a loved one, family friends or whatever. Don’t get me wrong, a country place with a lake and everything would be grand but like they say “money doesn’t buy happiness” so a resort somewhere sure it’s nice but it doesn’t guarantee happiness.
The islands, either the US or Canadian ones, on the Pacific coast near the Canada/US border, called the San Juan Islands in the US and the Gulf Islands in Canada -- the straddle the border. They have an ideal, almost mediterranean climate and a bright educated artistic population.
I want to check out Vancouver,B.C. again. It's beautiful, clean, culturally-diverse, nice weather, cool people. Just my kind of place. I went there in '94 and wondered why more people don't know about it because it is a nice-sized city. I'm going to apply for citizenship because I think I could really flourish there!
Yes, you could, Esquire. I am from Vancouver, and now live 50 miles west of it. The islands I just mentioned are between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, the great big island Nanaimo is on. The city of Vancouver is big, cosmopolitan, multicultural, thriving, with a good economy and so on. Do check into it.
Las vegas is a great place to live. But really when it comes down to it as long as you are with the one you love then it does not madder where you live as long as you and her or him is happy.
Somewhere where a warm trade wind blows through my hammock, while two semi-naked island girls fan me with fig leaves, a nice reggae riff is echoing through the trees, as I drink a fruity liquer conncoction from a half coconut, my newly found female best friend is receiving the same treatment from 2 studs a couple of trees over. Then after the sun sets, we skinny dip in the ocean and make love untill sunrise. Then do it all over again.
Greenville is a nice place...I live about 35 miles south of Central City which is close to Greenville...I like it okay where I live, but I am wanting to live out in the country...The country is so peaceful...and to the girl...There is nothing resort like in any of the surrounding counties here...having a pond or some kind of body of water on a farm is and always been the thing to do...for one many people around here has horses and cows which need water...where do they get the water??? from a pond or a small lake...also, many people around here have fish ponds, because it saves money...you can go fishing in your pond, you catch two or three of them and you have dinner...and it is uaually a one time cost buying fish because they will reproduce on their own which makes more fish...Another reason to have a pond is because many people around here have to have wells. Do you know where the water comes from for the wells??? It comes from the ponds...Also, usually most people around here try to find some kind of stream (which definately can be under ground) so there will be water running into the pond when there are dry spells, which there has been many and will continue...As for the water band that was placed on Logan County over four years ago, to my knowledge, it has not been lifted. Every summer they tell everyone to conserve water because we are in danger of running out of water and when we have drouts every year, we are in much more danger of running out of water. Does this sound like a resort to you??? And yes, when I do move out into the country (whenever that may be) I will love it, because it is still peaceful. I wouldn't give that up, even if it meant running out of water.
I think my last description is where I want to leave off tonight, hopefully that dream will dance through my head as I sleep. See you in next time in the sunshine.
