I feel like I can never ever find someone for me, I am a big girl and i'm comfortable with who I am but guys aren't, they always say it doesn't matter...but it does. Can i ever find a guy that will respect the fact that i am what i am and get over it, i'm never gonna be ur trophy girlfriend or wife, i'm just fun to be around, and i enjoy life. And girls pls don't respond to this like "oh, honey u need to stop worrying about that cause it doesn't matter" I hate it when skinny girls say that cause they have no IDEA what it's like when a guy treats u like garbage caue of the way u look! Sorry i'm kinda in a pissy mood.

I have tried to answer this in a humorous way but I can't. Truth is men are visual creatures. I have come to the conclusion that I either loose the fluff or keep searching for the very minute number that see beyond.. I'm still searching but I am also exercising....see my "What I learned" thread for my latest escapade...might cheer you up a bit. I gotta go to the doctor now...sheesh!

Anyone besides me noticing the lack of the male response here? Well here's my 2 cents worth... I'm tiny, not a stick-figure, but I have been on both sides of the fence and I just wanted to tell you the saying that the grass is always greener on the other side is TRUE! No matter who you are or what size you are. Everyday I worry about dumb things that guys probably don't even notice, hell they might even like it, that's the part that you have to remember. Nothing is more attractive than a little self-confidence! If you don't love yourself, no one else will.
Ok enough with the cliches. Sorry!

Trish

I'm probadly taken a chance getting shot in here, but ok I'll step up to bat. Yes, i agree (most) guys do look at the figure of a woman first when looking for a date...(BUT so do women).. .it's human nature...But there are other people who prefer other types of body classes, i have known both guys & gals who are more attracked to the huskier bodied style. I myself have never gone with a skinny woman.. they have always been average or a lil huskey and I actually prefer that body class. Just give it time Corbie there's a guy out there for you, you just haven't found him yet.

my two cents too...

there will be no lack of response on this guy's end.

Secondly, IT IS all about confidence. You could be big, small, skinny and tall, but it is all about personality.

Eyes, smile and personality will win over any "Pam Anderson" anyday...

So, yes...enough with the cliches...

Confident-ally yours, James

I'm pretty sure I've responded to a thread or two like this before. But here goes again.....

I am a big girl and loving it!! I'm 6' tall and have a few extra pounds. I've lost 24 since Christmas though!! (Go Me!!) It IS all about self-confidence. I think I clean up pretty damn good!
If you have the self-confidence, it wouldn't matter to you what those low life losers say to you. Shake it off and walk away. I grew up with the comments and yes, it bothered me ALOT! But, I realized I couldn't change my outside, only my inside.

As far as the "skinny" girls, I bet they think they have their own flaws too. I bet they have an idea of the hurt too, just in a different kind of way.

No one is perfect. No one will ever be perfect. If they are looking for perfection, they are gonna be sadly dissappointed!! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the guys that are doing this to you aren't happy with themselves?? Point to ponder.....

Physical appearance will effect how many people are willing to date you. That works both ways.

Physical appearance does not cause you to be treated poorly. A jerk will be a jerk about any perceived imperfection and if your perfect he'll be a jerk about that. Try not to take responsibility for other peoples poor behavior.
