What i been trying to say all along is that when we FEEL lonely , we tend to think with our heads only with our privates and that gets us in deep trouble!!

I agree with Bajun.
It can be just as lonely being in a relationship, as well as being single.
Im a person who likes my own company...and i dont feel a driving urge to just be with somebody for the sake of it.
Of course its fantastic to have some love in your life...somebody to share special times with.....but i can do that with my friends....
The only thing missing would be the intimacy......i think that a lot of us crave that more than anything.

When I start feeling lonely I try to find a way to take my mind off of it. I do miss having someone to talk to right before I go to sleep. I miss waking up and having a hot cup of tea sitting on the bed side table waiting for me, or a nice foot rub at the end of a long day. I miss alot of the things I had in a relationship, but I'd rather miss them then get into a bad relationship just because I'm feeling lonely.
