I would be in shock for a few days..lol..once the dust settled I would like to buy a farm and raise work horses from colts and I would also raise a few other animals and have a couple dogs...Traveling would also be in my future too...

Well, probably buy a small yacht that needed some work and tour the coast.

A million dollars, the possibilities are endless. I probably would not quit my job but then again who knows. I would pay off my mortgage and do some much needed fixing up on the house. I would probably take a trip to Australia because I've been dreaming of going there since I was a kid. I would share some with my family. Other than that life would go on as normal as it could.
In other words it would not change me, having money is nice but it does not buy happiness.

A million dollars is not that much when you really think about it.
Travel would be on the top of the agenda.

one million - buy a house here in Edmonton, a new vehicle, a couple houses for my kids...that would be it - gonzo.

Pay off all of my bills, buy a house, top up my RRSP, and travel some. Would still have to work after all that. A million bucks ain't what it used to be. 
Hire someone to finish the construction project I'm on right now and give them direction via sattelite phone from some secluded beach on an undisclosed island. Then think about what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I've started from zero a couple of times, so a million should enough for me to retire on somehow.
As for me, this area where I live the kids have nothing, then they ask why kids get into trouble here 
My opinion, this area is good for a retirement village, lots of Bingos

Pay off all the bills (most of which aren't mine lol)
Build a house,put a new house on my mom's lot and use it as a cottage,start my own business properly,make certain my girl would never want for anything,help out a few people,get a nice headstone for my mom,set up a playground at the school my daughter goesto and oh so many other little things.

Buy a small condo in Alberta or;
go farming for two and a half weeks or:
put it all on one spin on a Roulette table in Vegas - Number 19!! or;
just sit stiill and wait for the government to tax it all back or:
just give it all to a kids hospital,...maybe even get afew of them up in a hot air baloon! or;
nah,...a mil ain't much these days,....let's just give it to the kids hospital,....who needs $$$ anyways?

What will you do?
I will probably move out of Edmonton and go to live in Spain!! I will throw a party and say goodbye to everyone I like/love here and then retire to Costa del Sol in Malaga, part of Andalucia!!
I will also buy a home in Mexico – Huatulco, Oaxaca to be exact!! Everyone is welcome!!
