...besides other human beings or animals what one thing would you take with you???
As an amateur photographer I value the people, places, and things portrayed on my photographs, and the photos handed down from my relatives. I would take one of many boxes of photos.
last year one of my neighbours set her house on fire, our dog woke us up, I took the kids, grandma and doggy plus the laptop, my bag and my phone. sod the rest!
another time I lived in front of a wood and there was a fire there too.. I took the kids (no dog then) house documents, doctors documents, nappies and car keys!
haha - I really must get on with scanning all my photos onto the computer then get an external hard-drive - easy to carry running outa a burning home - oh I dread to think
My hard drive was a close second...It is a good thing to be ready for...you just never know...A foundry nearby just went up in flames and burnt to the ground in 2 hours...Watched it all..WOW! 4 alarmer!!
Sorry if I offended anyone by this thread I mean nothing by it...I have lost friends in fires and it is nothing to speak of lightly...Just trying to keep the piece ...I didn't know this was posted before.
No just kidding... I don't care much about stuff... As long as me and my son are out of the house I can replace the rest some day... As far as photo's go... I have all those memories in my head and a fire won't take that away...
