My thought would be, that's what friends are for....to talk about whatever it is that either one of them wants to talk about.
I guess it also means, that if this kind of talk makes you unhappy, check to see if you are a tad bit jealous, instead of being happy for her.

I am thinking maybe she wants you to comment on her. Maybe she needs another opinion on how she looks. She maybe insecure, or have low self esteem, and needs a little lift every now and then. Or she could be just trying to confide in you and see how you feel about the subject.
