Is it possible he/she was acting in a strange manner? Did he/she have something in their luggage that caused suspicion?
It's rather odd that more people want to come to this country than want to escape it...
Just for a point of reference, the Patriot Act was approved by both Houses and signed by the President. Thus far it's not been overturned by the Supreme Court.
If he/she really wants to come to this country, just have her/him enter thru the Mexican border....won't be a problem. There's no one left in Mexico to stop him/her.
I would think name calling is a bit childish and infantile also... if you dont like the posts you get...maybe you shouldnt start threads. And I wouldnt dare insult people from your country with such insulting comments you have made about people from mine... now who is the childish, infantile one here????
I don't think anyone has a constitutional right to come, or be allowed in the United States. But once a person gets in, they get better freebies than most U.S. citizens.
I read as I find - see replies. How much more infantile can you get " My country right or wrong" - I raised a legitimate point regarding visitors to the US and was swamped by people asking why I should have the cheek to complain"
I think he means, if you come here as a foriengner, and gain citizenship. you are eleigible for many Gov. grants to start buisnesses like, gas staions, Dollar stores. Get the picture? As a U.S., citizen, you could leave for 5 years, then re enter as a foriegner, and have more privilages then us right now.
Applicants should be aware that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States. The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection has authority to deny admission. Also, the period for which the bearer of a visitor visa is authorized to remain in the United States is determined by the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, not the consular officer. At the port of entry, a Bureau of Customs and Border Protection official must authorize the traveler's admission to the U.S. At that time the Form I-94, Record of Arrival-Departure, which notes the length of stay permitted, is validated. Those visitors who wish to stay beyond the time indicated on their Form I-94 must contact the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service to request Form I-539, Extension of Stay. The decision to grant or deny a request for extension of stay is made solely by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service.
