These are all known to be a "man" sport. Reading a thread put up by Icecrystal, this question popped into my head. I'm a tomboy and I used to play touch-rugby and cricket with my cousins and nephews......I'm also a keen Formula 1 fan.
Do men think and find it awkward when women watch and show a keen interest in these sports? Or do they find it refreshing?
I think its cool. It is good to have a slightly different perspective. And if its your partner then you know you have a very willing viewing partner.
My Ex liked watching the league. A close game could leave a very messy bed. Which one of us usually had to remake whilst the other stayed warm under the covers.
But it is just good to share a common team or just a common sport. We were both Soccer supporters. And though we didn't get much English soccer our way, If we got the opportunity we sat and watched a game togethercommenting on skill and bad ref calls.

My parents, or rather my mom, disagrees strongly about women participating in "men" sport.....All my life, I participated in these so-called "men" sport and today I can raise an opinion in any given conversation, whereas I were to participate in "women" sport, I would have had nothing to say.

The thing is, I'm much more relaxed in men conversation as I am in the conversation of women.......(I hope the ladies on here would forgive me for this) Women tend to talk about fashion, beauty products, diets, etc. I find it utterly boring (ladies, please forgive me) but that's just who I am.
There's nothing wrong with that Babe. When guy's start talking about motors and engines and cars my eyes glaze over. Each to there own interests.
As long as when one becomes two you work share and bond together. Your not freaky nor really that different. You just probably slide to the middle of the spectrum.
And probably more the type of woman most males would like to meet and hook up with. (Just going off these comments) They seek someone who is grounded and they can relate to and relates to them.

I tried my hand at Golf once and must say I was rather impressed by my shots, although it was just for fun......when I have more time on my hands one day, I'm might just start playing Golf.
Its grey got four doors and my clubs fit in the boot. Oh yeah it has a 1800CC motor whatever that means. But a bought a new CD player for it. The Radio has no flashy Neon screen on it

I drive a souped up (obviously) Mazda 1600 Sting Hatchback. It's not a 1600 engine anymore as I replaced the 1600 with a fuel-injected 2 litre Opel engine. The exhaust system was also replaced with a Cowley free-flow exhaust system. She's booked for branches at the end of the month.
In that case you have an open invitation to come to NZ and visit with me. One of the things I'd like my next partner to have is an active interest in golf.
And it will give yuo a chance to see some real rugby
I agree that talking about fashion, beauty products, diets, ect are utterly boring. Perhaps that's why I've always gotten along better with guys all my life.
