I used to be very goal oriented. Since my goals for my family ended after 20 years in the working, I've found it hard to get going again. I have a wonderful woman in my life, it's just that everything has to be changed. I'm tired of being stagnent. Last night I made a list of things to accomplish today. I succeeded in all. I feel good about this. I will make another list for tommorow. How many of you make a written list instead of the easy to blow off mental one? I remember sometimes I would make my written list so tough. that you would think no one could ever accomplish it in a day. Sometimes I would do it all and then some. Those are the days that make you feel good. How do you reach your daily goals, or do you just wing it?

Goal setting is a good idea, and writing them down is great. Just not good to write anything down just for the sake of having something to write. Your goals should be realistic, or one will continually come up short and lose heart.

It`s a very good practice, I wish I had more drive to do it and follow through on some goals.

B....you have a great thread, here. I envy someone who can set goals, mentally or written, than attain those goals. I've gotten to the point in my life where living isn't even a goal anymore. So, I really respect those that are goal oriented.

B, agree another great thread here. I write stuff down all the time because between, work, family, school, children, etc., etc. if I don't write it down I know I will forget it. Juggling is hard to do at times, and for me I have to do it, nobody else will do it for me. I am going to graduate in the spring, get a kick *ss job, am moving into my own home and in process of buying it now, so everyday you have to make a clear statement about your goals, to me it reinforces why I am doing the things I do now.

This was the first year in a long time I really didn't set any clear goals. Think that's why I feel a bit restless...no sense of clear direction.

In the past years I've made a goal list and posted it on the refrigerator. Most years I'd hit 70%. I thought of that as a success.

This year I've only focused on selling a duplex. Arghhhh~
