Love Letters?! Its all texts and instant messaging now! I keep the occasional email, some really do need deleting. Some are bloody obscene.....Oh happy days. I have never received a Valentines card!! Ever. But I have sent the occasional one or two, does that count?

i personally think a love letter or valentine card is a great boost for the ego and also shows that person loves you,so if your g/f or b/f does not send you one dump him/her now lol

This is gonna sound pretty sappy, but back in highschool I started writing love letters to girls, but I never sent them because I never thought they were good enough. But now when people read them they are like "wow! this is powerful!" I even won $100 in a poetry contest from one.
I still write them to this day for girls that I like, but I still don't think they are worthy enough to be sent. So far I have 200 letters stored in a box from my first one to my latest one.

Me too! I love letters but I don't love, "love letters". They're better used in books, theatre , songs, fairytales, movies, etc

Love letters, simple notes of appreciation and affection and even cards are wonderful both to give and receive. I love being able to read something over again and I've got a treasure box of stored memories in some simple letters that I've received. I wish that I'd kept them all ... but alas I have not but the ones I have I treasure because they are apart of my past and the people who have touched my life along the way.
Written words are powerful and can convey our thoughts and emotions so deeply to touch another. Sometimes it can be just a simple word or two ... but the meaning hits home to strike our hearts.
I treasure those thoughts and emotions so genuinely expressed to me because they are from a person who is willing to share their heart with me ... and that truly is a precious gift.
