Our thoughts affect our mood which affects our behaviour which affects our thought which affects our mood which affects out behaviour and on and on
What we need to do is break the cycle of negative thought, for some people this is as easy as telling themselves to 'cope on' 'snap out of it' etc. or getting out and going for a walk. For others it is much harder, perhaps because of depression or learned negative thoughts because of abusive relationships, for these people the negative thoughts are predominant and it takes time to recognise what is actually behind these and to learn to break the pattern.

yep, very wise words vonney - i reckon its about breaking patterns of behaviour too - life can sure as heck chuck us some curveballs to deal with and we have to get on with it or go under

For some people the negative is their comfort zone, they may be miserable but they know how that feels and accept it.

anything outside that may be to scary.
for sure and understandably so too when life has dealt you a few bummers in succession - it can take a monumental effort to even know what 'normal' means
