What is your idea of a good neighbor? Most places I have lived I never really knew who my neighbors were. I kept expecting that welcome wagon with a cake. I live in the country where people shoot first and ask questions later. If they don't know you you have to make sure there are no attack dogs and someone looking out the window with a gun pointed at you.
My neighbors are great, accept for the one two houses down who called the fire department on me for having a camp fire in my back yard, which is perfectly legal. But he is the type that thinks he owns the neighborhood, so I would expect nothing less.....
Freaks you out when your having a couple of beers and 3 firemen come rushing into you backyard....lol
When I was growing up people actually used to talk to other people who lived around them. But I guess when you move around a lot because of parents in the service you miss out on things like that. My children didn't have to experience that.
i live in the country and for the first time in 5 years that i have lived here my neighbors wife came over tonight and gave me 16 chocolate muffins. i was blown away
My idea of a good neighboor is one who respects his neighboors and lets them sleep peacefuly at night and not hike up their freaking Blood Pressure. YES I am having problems with my neighboors LOL I live in a building filled with University students. BIG mistake!!! The ones above I am ready to go up there and throw them out the freaking window soon. GRRRRR!!!
But okay a good neighboor has to be friendly and respects the others and environment arround them.

That's funny because my next door is Firefighter and every time i need to burn something in my backyard he stays on guard with his radio ... and warning local Fire Station that everything is cool,no fire .... that he is having barbecque with his family. I love my neighbors.
lol I've had all sorts of neighbours good ones, bad ones , smelly ones, If there not trying to get to your stash, there trying to pick up your man! lmao. But ive had mostly good neighbours.I live next to a comical pair of twins now there cool.
I am thankful for al the input. Close to my father's last days his doctor had him living in the desert of El Paso, Texas. I asked dad how he liked it there. He said that he lied it nice except for a neighbor that had moved in too close 11 miles away. That was his closest neighbor. Jeez, lol. I think one can actually be taught antisocial behavior, lol. I have always liked my neighbors, no matter where I have lived.
I use to live in a small apartment bulding(12 apts.). It was great. We would all get together and have dinners and cookouts, play cards and have a few drinks. All of our children would play together. A real sense of community. One of them actually saved my life before. I go there once a week and visit still. Even if they are not my neighbors anymore, they are all still my friends.
My neighbors now, well I know the woman that lives on the other side of the house and the man that live out back, but thats about it.
Having just moved, I don't know the neighbors with the exception of one with bat ears. She's not very musically amused.
The other directly next door has like 1200 kids and I'm sure barely has time to pee, let alone say hi. I don't want to know her, I don't want to babysit. lol
BOO!!!!! just peekin my head in ! this seems like the safest place to play!
yo neighbors!!! youz all i got! my neighbors have twin boys age 3 ... i call them the kids from hell..that's puttin it mildly and my other neighbors are just in love so NO ONE ever sees them ....but we doooooooooo hear them very well !!!
all my neighbors are wonderful. just had a new guy move in across the street. haven't went and introduced myself yet I'm sure I will sometime lol haha.
