Faulty Towers! (48)

Yesterday I was in the tower and the 'phone rang:

'Robert?'

'Yes, who's speaking?'

'It's Josephine - I'm stuck in the lift!'

A carer was stuck in the lift. I resetted the lift and 'rescued' her, then telephoned the lift company. The guy I spoke to decided that it didn't need looking at but 'let us know if it happens again and we'll be right round.'

Yesterday afternoon my mum got stuck in the lift with Josephine. I could not reset the lift - what a shame! They were stuck there for 10 minutes while my dad called the lift company. 15 minutes later they were still stuck there.......20 minutes went by, 25 minutes went by and it was getting dark and raining and blowing a small gale.

Eventually, I actually managed to speak to a technician and find out how to release the hydraulic oil pressure so that the lift went down.......... I'm lucky that my mother and the carer didn't panic and were joking together.

The lift man came and left - then my dad got stuck in the lift!

Seriously though it's a good thing no one did panic, or were injured, aftersales service over here is non existant
