Posting this because I absolutely love the outdoors, and I am curious to see who else on here is as passionate. Lately I've been taking in a lot of snowmobiling, on my sled (2004 SX Viper).Snowmobiling and ice fishing or winter camping, in a canvas tent is what I've been spending my free time doing these days.
In the summer time I go snake hunting and animal watching..where I go out in the middle of the woods here in Kentucky, and try to find snakes and look at wildlife! Lol. I don't kill anything, I just think its fun to to handle those slippery lil creatures =D
So glad to hear that your version of "hunting" doesn't take a life. I do the same. Used to track deer with my canera a few years ago in BC. (west coast Canada) LJO

Well guys, I can't say that I never killed an animal before... Sorry, but its part of my culture, and we eat the things we kill. Now, we don't go out every weekend to kill for the sake of killing, but we do hunt. I've probably stirred something up with this post. Freedom of Speech. ;)
I spend a lot of time outdoors, gardening, walking in the fields.
Lots of wildlife here - moose, deer, woodchucks, foxes, coyotes and they just seem to wander through, except for the predator types who I would be happy to humanely trap and send elsewhere!
I can understand killing somthing to eat, thats fine with me. Personally I dun like deer meat, its too tough lol. But its a favorite here in Kentucky. They make deer flavored beef jerky in local stores. I would like to try rabbit one day, but I won't kill it lol.

Rabbit... ewwww... I know ppl who kill them, I've never killed them, and I won't eat it. I like caribou meat, its very tender and lean. Deer is okay, tried it in Ontario, last winter for the first time.
Ara! Instead of being a chicken lady, your a woodchick! lol I can see your yard now, migrating woodchucks, foxes hanging out on the patio, all dancing with bears singing "ring around the rosey".
This is why I want to hang out with her one weekend, just to see what its like in her world lol.
I don´t like snow, even though we have it here for 6 months of the year. I guess you learn to live with it. I had a snowmobile once. It broke down in the middle of a large lake during a fishing trip. Left it for dead. Summertime though, WOW! Fishing, hiking picking ticks of your legs, what a great thing. I got to tell you, my personal record of killing Mosquitos in one blow is 13 big one. Try to beat that. Viva Nature.

Mosquitos are the reason why I HATE summer here. I haven't spent a summer here where I am living in about 6 years, so I am not looking forward to summer. maybe I'll leave and go on vacation for the whole summer.

Nothing works on those crazy flies up here, if you were ever here or spoke to someone from here, you'd know. No one goes camping in the summer much here, now back on the island part of the province, its nice...
