Those who have been here a while know that I had a little bit too close of a hand shake with premature death only a year ago, only got the all clear last July ... That's just ONE of the reasons I found his post upsetting, the others I will keep tp myself ...

well, am going to post a personal experiance i had on these forums, and its about when i first moved to a new location, not knowing anyone there apart for my very very (i mean decomposing-like) old land lady... 
Anyhow, i was browsing through profiles located near-by and i noticed this girl that stated a great interest in pets ( i LOVE dogs) and also that she was studying to be a vet. So, i sent her a mail, asking her if she would happen to know any dog breaders in that town, because i really wanted to buy an Ovcharka (its a kind of dog, a big dog) and i didnt know where i could turn to.
I mean, ok, i really thought that she was prety too, but my mail was honest in what it inquired. She could have replied with a "sorry, i do not know" or something like that if she realy didnt want to be bothered. On the other hand, she could have been helpfull or even, hell, if she kinda liked me even start up a conversation...
But no reply yet... and yes, i do beleive that it is strange. I would have answered for sure, even just to say "am sorry, i dont know"

Don't count on replies....ever.....women are outnumbered 10-to-one here......the average woman will receive more mail in a week than the average guy gets in a year.....most women don't even have the patience to really read thru all their mail they get, let alone reply to it......if you are waiting breathless to see if she has even noticed your nondescript mail about dogs, among the scores of others....you're deluding yourself.....
All you can hope to do is....write an eye-catching title to your mail...like....
"I wanna rip your clothes off, and....."-.....or...
"Marry me and have my children...."....or....
"I am very rich, but...."........or....
" I have a very large........"........or....
"I have a yacht in Cannes, and I was wondering if....."....or....
"Please accompany me to Bali........"....or....

I totally forgot/did not know or think that you'd had a near death thingy - I just did what you said to that guy and commented on something in your profile (personally I thought it was all about your impending move back to Spain (nice) and the death was just a stupid joke (not nice), but not meant to upset you!¬

You were way too bold and optimistic and frightening to the poor woman......you should have enquired about a less intimidating animal like a goldfish, then worked up to hamsters and eventually small inoffensive dogs like poodles instead of hitting her with an Ovcharka straight off - anyway her profile could have been fake and she might have thought an Ovcharka was something nasty and an improper suggestion

Well how about it is soooooooooo mundane its brain numbing!! What are the ladies supoosed to answer " Oh I'm fine thank you for asking"
May be it would make sense to send a message asking about something to do with their profile so you show that you at least read it!!! Yeah!!!! I know!!! It's time consuming isn't to read all the ladies profiles before sending them a message!!!! (bit of sarcasm for you there) . Reason being when you send a banal message it just gives the impression you are hitting on as many women as possible without having read their profiles -and in MOST of the cases that is exactely what is going on - and that is why you get NO REPLY
