I have given up on pictures, they are unreliable! ...see another post on that one!
but given that, pics are an estimate and I have been let down a couple of times.
I think a recent pic is only fair and not that hard to accomplish so....

I guess it depends on how often you've been lied to and meet someone who doesn't look like you expected.
I guess I believe most people post pics that are who they say they are because what would be the point of misleading someone who you might want to meet?
I must admit that I was tempted to use my son's pic cuz he looks a hell of a lot better than I do.

My pic is only a month old,.....but since then I have started looking like a cross between Steven Segal, Brad Pitt, and Antonio Banderass,....so I really don't want to post that one,.....I tire of having to "fend off the females" as is,....
My pic is from mothers day 2007 and the cam can always back me up

sometimes photos show something wrong, or not, but it's not so important how someone looks like. but my experience is, that some people are not the persons on the pictures. but i like it more to write with someone, who's got a picture in the profile, couse i don't like writing with "ghosts".
That is how I feel too. It feels like you at least have an idea of who you are talking to when you can see the picture.
That is the thing with dating sites, you just have to take that chance or don't. You never know until you actually meet that person. I look at the photo yes, and as corny as this sounds it is what they are like as a person. On the inside is what should make them appealing to you. But I will stop preaching now!
