Hmmm...Flashily pretty, that's definately unique!! I would go with overdone as well, someone who is pretty and who knows it and flashes it, hence flashily pretty. Paris Hilton came to mind to me too lol.
k a different concept, here is an example that doesnt sound bimbo-ish.
my heart fluttered when I seen her, she was flashily pretty, her eyes twinkled like the stars in heaven were in her eyes. The sun shimmered around her highlighting her amber coloured hair, her beauty was of innocence but her presence was felt when she walked across the field to join the rest of the crowed.
If you are talking about a man...that sounds GAY GAY GAY...lol lol I do not want a man that's "Flashily pretty"...he looks better than I do!?!? What's up with that?
If I was reading that phrase in a novel, I don't think I could get a visual on what you were talking about...Would the woman be "flashily pretty" in the beholder's eye?...huh?
pretty to me like a blooming flower when somone who is happy and shines and has a wonderful personality ,and honesty ...beauity is in the eye of the beholder..

I think my original image was closer to Leviathan's image; false glamor and glitz, but I was interestd to see what the word elicitted from others. I think tinsel and fake, or at least lacking depth.
