Thinkin' about taking off work today (10)
LethurinBoston, MA, Massachusetts USA6 Threads 24 PostsWork has been a pain. I'm working 9.5 hours a day, 7 days a week, having little time for anything else; but the money's good. What do you think? Should I take off a day and get to the bad half of my boss's attitude the next day, or should I go to work tonight and earn the extra money? I work with Dell mfg, if that tells you anything...

must be a busy time for you right now. instead of not going in today & maybe getting in trouble, tell your boss you need this sat. or sun. off because of a family obligation.

I work alot of hours graveyard shift. My father has been in the hosp. 2 hour drive away. My boys are aways needing rides here and there.
I called in sick last night to work and slept 12 hours straight.... was heaven. If I get yelled at... so be it. Sometimes you need to do something for yourself.

Good jobs are hard to find. Maybe you should spoil yourself - a different way - with some of the extra money you've earned?
