Anyone care to share their thoughts on the origin of angels..types of angels?..powers of angels?..part they play in our lives?..

I believe that "angels" were once humans......they were rewarded for past good deeds, by being allowed to "watch over others"
I believe that angels have the power to heal, the power to love and the power to guide it all depends on your need, as to who you would want to "work" with.
I know that my deseased mother is my son's "angel"...he's been seeing her & talking to her since he was born.

Why angels? Who knows. Many tasks have been assigned to them in Jewish and Christian tradition, in folklore and folk theology. People have been guessing at it for 4000 years, probably longer. This slightly plagerized. Paws

"Let Your Angels Talk To You"


There are angels in Heaven but there are also angels on Earth. They look just like you and me. They have families , their jobs, their hobbies and their likes and dislikes. In actuality, they are people just like you and me and maybe we are angels ourselves. Some people may be an angel to many and some may be here for that one person to save. They probably don’t even realize they are angels because their heart and spirit are genuine. They can sense who you are inside and have an uncanny ability to help you to believe in yourself and to help you realize why you are here on Earth with their "true" concern. They heal your soul by recognizing the needs of your spirit and understand what you need to guide you to your God given potential. They are there to rescue you in times of woe, just in time to save you from doom, to guide you in your blindness and set you on the right path. Angels have no boundaries, spirits are spirits whether they are incased in a living breathing body or have been released from their Earthly shell. They could be the ones who quietly whisper wisdom in your troubled head or they could be the stranger who makes your day and says all you needed to hear somehow. They can be there to save you from serious harm as an accident or be there right at the right time to prevent you from doing something disastrous. They seem to appear when you need them. In whatever form an angel is in and no matter who they are, they are a gift from God to you and a gift from God in you.

Muhammad Rumi wrote;

I died as inanimate matter and arose a plant,

I died as a plant and rose again an animal.

I died as an animal and arose a man.

Why then should I fear to become less by dying?

I shall die once again as a man

To rise an angel perfect from head to foot!

Again when I suffer dissolution as an angel,

I shall become what passes the conception of man!

Let me then become non-existent, for non-existence

Sings to me in organ tones, 'To him shall we return.'

i believe in angels. one day my daughter and i was driving to the store and this delivery truck went in our lane head on and thankgod the angels where with us that day cause i suvired off to the side of the shoulder, talking about praying to God for sending us angels that day .

To me Angels come in all forms. Alive and from heaven. To me angels are soldiers like yourself, Police officers, Doctors, Teachers, Psychologists, People who generaly make a huge difference in one's and many others lives.
