Alabama has finally made some real education reform. Essentially it now funds private and home school education to a limited degree, $7,000 a year more or less.

Look, these parents were paying taxes to fund a public education system they were not utilizing. So at least now they get some relief.

That this happened is amazing. The teacher's union in Alabama ran state politics much like the mafia. Finally the politicians were more afraid of the voters.

The incompetency of U.S. public schools these days is tragic. They increase the graduation rate by lowering the standard.

The child suffers. And bloated school administration gets fat.

Home schooling is for crazy parents who don’t want to socialise their kids or do the school runs.

I went to school never missed a day either unless I was throwing up kinda sick. School is important for kids to learn to make friends and socialise as well as the education. I loved school . High school was the best ever.

Yeah, let's give tax money to religious groups to pay their lawsuits for their p*dophile. The US is a secular country. We aren't supposed to support a religion.
I hope you imbeciles live long enough to regret supporting theocracy.

comfort

the money supports education, not religion. I spent 12 years in two parochial schools. Excellent education system. we had some hot teachers in elementary school.... btw, are you woke? comfort

My daughter home schools...for many reasons...

First of all, she taught for 7 years in the public school system...she has a degree in education..

Middle school math...6th and 7th grade...

Half of her students could not master basic math, nor could they read on grade level...The teachers had passed through many students with learning disabilities...which she was able to see many had dyslexia..from how they were transposing numbers in basic math...

My granddaughter has a learning disability...and my grandson is the opposite..he entered public school reading..and was board...which made him antsy...and the teachers wanted to put him on Ritalin...

She found a homeschool group...and my granddaughter is now on grade level with all her subjects..

And, my grandson...is able to work on the higher level he needed to keep him interested...

They have made many friends with those who meet 2 days a week for music, art, and field trips...

My granddaughter does everything all girls do with her friends...and, the best thing is..her friends are diverse..and of all colors..

They go to the mall and the movies..have sleepovers..and talk about boys...

My grandson...has friends too..they do more of the video games...and rough housing...
