Was just curious how everyone's Chritmas was , LOL had to have been better than mine , but I'm not complaining. Hope everyone's Christmas was wonderful and everyone was with their families.
Yea, left out Saturday morning, ran 1800 mile to LA for Monday morning, then over to Yuma , which was a pain to get loaded, then ran all thru yesterday to make it to St. Louis today , was another 1800 miles .
But I volunteered for it to let one of ou other drivers spend the time home with his family.
Well depends on what hours , but as for my 70 hrs in 8 days , no ... not yet, well close, that's what coloring books are for right Besides , after I get the rest of this load kicked off , I'll prolly get enough time off to reset them anyhow.
Well , pretty much , but when I"m out on the road , I"ld rather be moving , then sitting in a truckstop ........... besides , I usually have to have something to do to keep me busy anyways. haven't had tme really to work on some storied I've old some friends I wold make for the yet so I"ll prolly be in a lil trouble over that also .
I can't complain , they've been running me like a 3 legged dog in a greyhound race. But other than that , got up here a day early , and already got half this load off , can't get the rest unloaded till tommorow morning so I got a bit of free time sitting here in St. Louis
Peoples Christmas never does live up to expectations does it? because we all expect too much.. I think we have all being watching too many Christmas movies... my philosophy to Xmas and to life... dont have too many expectations
I'ld agree, alot of it has become to commericalized, and with that comes the stress of finances also , I understand that . But I've noticed alot in the past few years also , that yes it is a religious, but it's also a time to celebrate time with friends and family. But anymore you've got to mke the best of it.
I actually had a wonderful time out here on the road , meet up with some friends and we was stirring up a lil mischief all across Arizonia, New Mexico , and Texas. It was a blast.
My Christmas Eve was spent with 2 of my 3 children and my daughter-in-law,followed by my baby sister and a family friend who joined us for Christmas dinner.
Are Christmas Eve was spent with a warm heart and joyous laughter....we watched old home video's,shared a few cocktails, ate tid bits, listened to music, opened stockings... the sound of there laughter, the glitter in there eyes, the smiles upon there face was that that intoxicated me.
I was embraced of that of my mother, who graced are presence with her spirit, together we all ,each lite a candle and said a few words, acknowledging who she is and how she is not forgotten.
I was encountered by the true meaning of Christmas spirit this year, for I was touched by the magic that fills are hearts and leaves the most valuable memories imbedded in are minds.
Making someone else's Christmas brighter? Well that should make you feel pretty good about your Christmas. An unselfish act of kindness. Not so common nowadays.
Thank You , and as a matter of fact , that drivers wife and 2 children called me yesterday to make sure I had a good day. It did brighten up the mood going thru the the snow
...and her candle that is burning today, and has been now for near 6 hours, tells me that indeed she was looking down upon us with her smiling little face.
