The key is and always has been in your pocket. When you're ready to leave, you'll just walk out. I know this for certain, having done it several times myself. Sometimes we come back (maybe there's comfort in familiarity?) But the key is always in our possession. Often, we're just afraid to use it...

Thanks for putting that into light for me and for others.
As cute said, I must have hit a point when that was written. Seems like we do create our own prisons though, through walls and emotional withdrawal. As you said, we hold the key and at any time, can walk.
i would love someone like you just cant find someonelike that ,that lives close to me, but thats what i would like to, when my kids are not here to see me it gets so lonely,i dont even date anymore ,but i love my little dog,
I can tell you what jail is like, I work night shift at one. Yes siree, in charge of care, custody, and control! I make sure I have my makeup on and some nice smelling perfume on. Why? The male inmates don't give me trouble, because they want me to keep coming back to their pod. They enjoy the look and smell of a woman after being couped up with men all day and night. Now they also keep wanting to get together when they get out, but that is just too much drama!
