Here we are well into January and most people have all had a good taste of winter road conditions.....I thought most folks around here by now will have adopted the practice of just staying home if the roads turned bad overnight, but apparently they haven't. I realize that people do have jobs, commitments to kids, spouse ,etc....But there comes a time when you need to ask yourself if taking that chance out on those icy roads is REALLY worth it??? I am used to doing my job of pulling folks out of their rolled and twisted wrecks on a regular basis. What I never get used to is sometimes ridiculous reasons some people give for being out there in the first place. Trust me when I say I've heard them ALL.....sadly enough some pay for those decisions dearly....I don't think anything can replace a decision to stay put and stay safe rather than putting you and yours in the hospital or worse......Plz folks...from a responder on the front lines........THINK ABOUT IT!

How true....too many have lost out on a lot when they go out in Bad Weather. I personally will not take my kids to school if I think it is too much. Why? so I can get stuck and freeze no thank you.
FreshStart68: Where were you on Monday while I was travelling thru VAlleyview to Foxcreek and onwards! If it wasn't for the fact I had to go, I wouldn't have. YUCK!
That's a poopy drive during the winter. Any part of 43 in the winter is poopy. Actually any driving in Alberta during the winter is poopy!
