I found PC World very helpful. The guy that served explained everything to me, and helped me decide which one would suit us best. Sorry, I personally couldn't fault them thumbs up

pc world suck.i will fix your pc and no 3 week wait.just a couple of hours same day pick up as well.the amount of people unhappy with pc worlds work is quite a lot as i have to fix there cockups all the time.

so people dont go to pc world they charge to much.and delete your data as well.teddybear

Well, can't relate to this one in general, but I am aware of the fact that alot of employers do indeed employ utter monkey's with no lack of their trade what so ever.

A while back, I had a Nokia 6230i, and I wanted an MMC (Multimedia Memory Card)

(There's MMC, Transflash, RS-MMC, etc, etc,)

So I went into carphone warehouse, thinking they'd have one in stock, but there weren't any on show. So I asked, and at first, they weren't aware of what one was!!!

It wasn't until I showed them one that I had, that didn't work, which led to a response from a young teen girl that was along the lines of "Nah we don't do um, we do do um but they're 50 quid".

Lack of trades, and bombarding customers as soon as they walk through the door, summarises it all.

How many of you, would want to be bombarded as soon as you entered the shop, with "Can I help?" How about, can you read my mind, do you know what I'd like, because I don't.

Whatever happened to a general perusal, without feeling rushed, or gawped upon?

yes like many other retail outlets there there to make the MEGABUCK.

There are so mant p/c outlets that have the time to listen and supply you with what you require.


The last time i ventured into PCWORLD

Eventualy a assistance. Ask me COULD I HELP

The only reply i could muster was NO NOT AT THESE PRICES.

I'm will Soup's and Dr Love....... I have fixed so many friends computers after being in PC world its unreal. As for the Staff in some of these stores, if they didn't have a badge on i don't think they would know where they were and what their name was.

If you do happen to stumble into one of the stores and you don't have a clue about computers, run for the exit, don't part with your hard earned cash...... Staff in PC world will only sell you what they are going to make the most commission on that day. All the manufactures phone the sales advisor's in the morning before the shop opens and give the sales staff incentives to sell there products.

So if you don't know what your looking for, they will sell you whats going to make them the highest commission for that day and that goes for every product they have in the store. Its not a case of selling you what you need, its what they can sell you......
