I have been single for about 5 years I'd say. I enjoy singles site and might still be on them in 10 years. Who knows? I guess it won't worry me too much if I am still single in 10 years. I am happy cruising along how I am..
The only main thing at the moment that makes me want a man, is the company when there is a storm here. LOL I am a sook with a storm phobia now and I would love a man to be here when a storm comes!.. and for other things of course but this week, that is my only though on men and me needing one.
A male friend of mine told me the other day I am single as my expectations are too high. Since when are honesty and down to earth qualities such a high standard??

because i have been single for so long i find myself content with my own company and find this makes it harder to bond with ppl because you get to love the peace of being single, personally becoming comfy with being single is ok but can be distructive to your self because you ask your self am i really looking or do i just beleve i need someone in my life, i would be more worried about not being on the singles site long enough rather than walk away wondering if the one i could of met joined after i left, i think to long is when you do find your partner you continue to be attached to a singles site, which would make for a few people that sit in these sites, time matters; not!

I talk to lots.....One lady while buying a Christmas present for the Ex.....persuaded me not to buy my ex an axe......
Looking through a Jewelers shop window I asked a young lady what would be something in there a woman would like can you help me? She said who is it for? I said an ex wife, she laughed and we broke the ice....

I believe that after a certain age (and I'm not sure exactly when that is. It should vary in relation to a persons personality).
That the longer you stay single the more likely you will choose to stay that way.
I believe this theory kicks in after 35 yrs.
Therefore you will create your own excuses and theories to end relationships, or block them before they start. We become our own enemy in the great game of Relationships.
Great Relationships = Patience + Time + Communication.

I myself have been single for 10 years. I am 50 now and I still belive that there is someone out there for me. I think that finding someone to love is a timeless thing.

Well one would think you would feel like that at an older age than 35...35 is still so young to be able to find someone. I feel it's much harder after say 45 and at 50 i'm starting to resign myself to the fact that i probably wont find anyone

How long can a person be on singles sites , and not meet anyone , before they start asking themselves "whats wrong with this picture?"
I havent been in a good steady relationship for 6 years ( had g/f's , but nothing got serious or eventuated into them moving in ) so im wondering , if your single for too long , does this mean you dont fill the requirements people are asking? or are we all too fickle , and pray that MR/MRS right , will one day become single and check these pages out , to sweep us off our feet and into a relationship to upshow all other relationships.
