My ex-hub loved his guitar more..One man I dated for a while played in a band but I came first and the rest just liked to play one once in a while..lol
I am of the classic rock-n-roll age... still have excellent vinyl. I am not afforded the ability to listen to music /radio alot. Maybe I'm a creature habit... I know what soothes, motvates, and excites me in terms of music.

Nothing wrong with that fire, whatever keeps happy.
One of the things my daughter gave me xmas was an MP3 player, and it just saved my sanity in my last job. Also good in the car when on my own as radio does not work anymore!

One of my fears is that something would happen to me and I would go deaf and never be able to hear music again. I have been listening to music and singing since I was about 3, when my sis' first grade teacher became a friend of the family; she sang and played the guitar, and taught me "Michael Row Your Boat Ashore". Since then I have been in many choirs around the country, some competitive.
Several of the biggest highlights of my life have been singing-related: once when my college madrigals group sang at an international competition in Mexico, we sang Mass at the National Cathedral in Mexico City; another time I sang in an old storage tank at an abandoned whaling station in Antarctica...the acoustics made it sound like I was singing to God... the memory of it still gives me chills... And the third one was last summer in Venice on a choir tour, I sang a really beautiful half Hebrew/half English healing prayer, solo, a cappela, at the Basilica of Sts. John and Paul. Again, the acoustics...!!
Besides my kids, sunshine, and chocolate, losing music in the world would be one of my biggest traumas.
