Yeah it depends what the message is about and what it says. I admit i don't open everyones but i try to read them.

I check their picture out to see if it appeals to me

Well, to the types of girls like me, they'll hate if you over board and message using all the sugarcoated words or any sort of unknown assumption.
It does click at times, just in case if they go through the entire profile. At times, the participation of the member with his views and comments might appeal to someone which in turn will be a click as well.
