OH...I hear ya!!! We have.....no call list.......but it doesn't work....they still call....all day until like 10pm.......absolutely crazy!!!

Get on the bt list to stop unsolicited calls, if that's what they are.
I'm ex-directory and still had to block these calls.
The number is in the phone directory and it does work.

it's true.. Mine cut down alot on my other phone...
Problem is, some places that needed to get me came up anonymous, or unavailable...doctors, and sometimes schools...so damned if you do, or don't.
they don't like it when your nasty to them, thoug...calmly nasty...lol

Also if you don't answer the phone they keep calling. I have seen the same number call at least 30 times. You think they would get the hint after the first few tries, but NO, DUH!!

Buy a whole bunch of cheap phones and one metal garbage can
Now when a telephone solicitor calls and you don't want to talk and/or get annoyed .... take the phone and bash in back and forth in the garbage can... I doubt that they will try and call you back

and by the way... I heard that idea from an old boss.... he used to take the phone calls at the phone station and when someone didn't want to listen and/or was drunk or abusive that's what he would do

Hey Pete, here's one that works just keep saying "Hello" over and over and over again. Trust me they hang up after a few minutes! LOL :)

sometimes i ask them how do they know me because they've called me by my name and they act like they really do know me...that usually gets them to hang up on their own...

No not yet Catwm. There has been some talk of it, but I think the governments are worried about the loss of jobs that would result if such legislation was passed. I think being that they are in sales perhaps the companies would just end up hiring more people. It would be a win win I think..

I have caller Id if I don't recognize the number I don't pick it up. Sometimes even if I know who it is I let the answering machine pick it up cause I know they want me to do something for them...you know them kinda frineds? The phone is a necessary evil...
