I could never understand "sport fishing". Dangling a creature by it's own weight via a hook in it's mouth, then throwing it back in. Selective sensitivity. If someone did that to the family pet, he'd be arrested. Paws

I don't sport fish either. In fact, I don't fish at all, but if I did it would be to put food on the table. Personally I'm not all that crazy about fish anyway. I'd rather devour a couple melons. :o)

True, they made it illegal here to use live bait. But it´s not illegal to fish. Proberbly never will eithe,r because commercial fisheries are the real culprits and people want to eat fish. I guess in a perfect world we would eat water drink air.
