It has to do with the way the brain communicates with itself and between hemispheres. Men have the advantage in doing a single task because a man’s brain optimizes the amount of communication within a localized area. Women have the advantage in multitasking because their brains don’t limit themselves to a couple areas. However, both side have their advantages and disadvantages. While men are limited to the number of tasks, we excel in completing those tasks while maximizing efficiency and quality of work. Women can multitask (which is a good advantage); however, while multitasking the quality of the completed tasks can sometimes lack.

Well you know, I was just asking myself. I Said, "self, why can't women do do more than one thing at any given time"? Just this morning I was driving my car, drinking my coffee and talking on the phone. This woman in front of me was trying to drive and put on her makeup and damn near ran off the road. I'm sure after that close call she had one more task to do before going into work.

Not to offend anyone, and I guess this could have been given its own thread, but why is so much of the homour between the women on this site based on the "women are better than men" theme?

EXCUSE ME but i am known as a multiple tasker.when i worked i drove my bosses crazy as soon as they gave me something to do,it was done and i came back asking them what else they wanted me to do.
1 of my boss figure it out he had me doing 8 things at once but he soon found out it was not enough keeping me out of trouble.for i was always playing a prank on someone
he found out the hard way when i put exlax in his coffee and taking all of the toilet paper out of the bathroom,he soon found out what ever he had me to do it was not enough to stop me from playing a prank on someone.
it came in handle when a judge thought it would be funny to do something.that was never heard of nor seen at the time.when he gave me full custody of my 5 children.
trust me you will learn how to do more than 5 things at a time and learn how to have eyes in back of your head.you will learn how to do more than 1 thing at a time.
you will learn how to change a baby,get gum out of a child hair,cooking dinner,help a child with their homework,wash clothes,clean the house,do the dishes all at the same time,while you are stoping the other children from hurting each other.
so trust me there are someone man who can and does more than 1 thing at a time
