What kind of memory do you seem to have? I tend to usually have a long memory most of the time, otherwise if things aren't really interesting to me I can look at something and not pay attention...say something someone is wearing.

I have a friend that can forget 5 minutes later, but remember the past like yesterday. I was married to someone with a convenient memory..lol

I did not know that........( lupus ) sorry

When I was younger and studing music, I could memorize entire works, but, now.....gesh.....guess I am getting old. I wonder sometimes if our minds have selective memory ? ( choosing to block some painful things )

I have a memory like an elephant. Its scares my parents how much I remember from when I was little. Short term is a little foggy sometimes!

I think maybe our minds have ways to protect us at times from traumatizing memories too.

I think sometimes too that it is selective to a certain extent if remembering something would be a detriment to out well being.

I think it is protective... survival...
It coms when we can handle it...we don't think soat the time. Bt, facing it true, is alot better, than suffering and supressing long term...

My short term memory can be not the greatest, but my long term is very good. And then sometimes I draw a complete blank. I get that Deer in the headlights kind of look, when that happens. It's a dead give away..lol

Personaly I blame the situation... when I have so many things on my mind and life seems like none stop action 24/7. Really brain needs a vacation too...lol
