Well, this is the fourth 'foreign' country I have lived in. In each one there are adjustments to make. ---language, food, customs, people, lifestyle, weather, and much else.
If you are living in a country that is not your 'home' country, what types of adjustments have you had to make, what is good/not so good, what has been the most difficult thing to deal with, what has been the most exciting and wonderful advantage to living where you are? And anything else you want to add...
Never lived anywhere other than Canada but it's a diverse country and things are different from one end to the other. Where I'm moving to isn't at all like where I'm at now and there will be some adjustments. The biggest one is not having easy access to things I'm used to having. The nearest major city is 2 1/2 hours away into the US and in Canada is 4 hours driving. Quite a switch from Toronto to Edmonton to the middle of nowhere, but I'm looking forward to it. At least the language is the same.
I have lived in NY state but that was when I was young...I have to say I much perfer small city living compared to big city living though....I never did get used to big city life...but the cultural differences certainly weren't that great compared to alot of countries...I still sound like a New Yorker as a matter of fact and still say z...not zed...I still use imperical and not metric and I still spell many words the American way and not the Canadian way....Guess some old habits just never die!!!!!!!!!!
