Some presidents...have airports, motorways, and even entire cities named in their honor. But when George Bush leaves office, his most visible memorial may be a mouldering patch of human effluent. In November, alongside casting their ballot for the next president, the people of San Francisco will also vote on a measure to rename one of the city's largest sewage works the George W. Bush Sewage Plant, to provide a "fitting monument" to the outgoing commander-in-chief's achievements...the proposal is almost certain to be passed; Democrats usually secure between 70 and 80 per cent of the vote in San Francisco.

I think it's fitting and I'll just snicker, to myself. I never voted for either Bush. I'm about 80 percent Democrat, myself. The older I get, the more liberal I get. I don't feel badly about it, either.

Conrad73: You all becoming Irrational with your hate! But that's what Hate does to People I am told!!!
I do not see Hate in this at all, Conrad.
Humor maybe, but definitely not Hate.
Actually, if this story is true, and I do not know if it is or not, then somebody really has balls! I would think it not possible to do such a thing as name a sewage plant after a President, no matter how bad he is.
I for one, do not like Bush at all, as I feel he is a deceiver and I am for Truth, Justice and the American Way. But I would never name a sewage plant after him. I would rather forget him entirely, instead of having a constant reminder... even the smell of it would make you think of him.

roseofsharon: I'm not clear.... is this a joke??!!
I do not know. Perhaps someone from the San Francisco area can confirm this for us, or do some research. Check the.gov sites or the Newspapers. I don't have time now, got to get to work. People are hungry and waiting on me to bring food to their neighborhood markets!
Ya'll have a wonderful day!!! Or night, where ever you are!

I would high-step it to San Francisco. They sound needy.
