My question is is what? what exactly are you asking? imo norton is good but it also has long arms and controls a lot more than what it is supposed to, like some isp's, they tend to take over your computer and won't allow you to do things where you should outside their program, I will get chewed for this but that is my opinion of it. Is it a virus or spyware you are in search of?

Sorry you have Vista, but in the meantime download AVG. It's free and one of the best anti-virus apps.

Remove the Norton program completely, then try to install it again. Failing that, install AVG.

Sorry you ended up with Vista. Been running Windows XP for years without a problem. Microshaft has decided to extend the sale of XP. Thanks for that.

I just bought a new PC, but insisted that it run with XP.

I don't know how friendly it is to navigate and you might have to go to another link but by all means don't get the trial version get the free edition. Any more questions on it ask.
