Not sure if you have put in your profile on the other dating sites that you are seeking "marriage" as you have on your CS profile.

But, that would make me run a mile uh oh I like to have at least a few dates before I had the worry of a possible marriage proposal to ponder help

I'm sure if you have patience you will meet someone when the time is right though wine

true, if you say marriage it can sound as if you are looking for a wife to look after your children, no offence meant. but having your children at home with you, says so many good things about you! hang on in there!thumbs up

I would like to ask are you a single dad with access or do your children live with you?

Thats irrelevant really!! but i am curious!!
I wanted to say i personally am a single mum of 3 and have come to the point in my life where i would only dad men with children as they have a better understanding than most men of what my life is like!

you will of course understand this laugh the only trouble is i have found men with children no offence who are 100 0/0 wrapped up in their own to give a damm about anyone elses! and if they dont have chidren of their own are either useless! or want their own!! arghh so very tough world of dating when children involved!

trust me tho embrace that you have them, don't think of them as burdens in your life but what enchances it and makes you who you are applause

Hi ladies and thanks for replies.

Yes i should Clarify, Yes they all live with me, this is their base as it were, their home and school..
They see their mum 2 nights a week and 4 on every third week.
But i'm the one who cares, cooks, cleans, and looks after everything.

And you know what?............ i wouldn't change it for the world!!.. i love it, i'm in a good house, 3 big gardens, kids are great we do all sorts together, play daft games, or they help in house and garden.

My twins 4 , start school proper after the hols, so that should be fun!.. all day school!.... along with their brother 9. So i have been trawling shops for uniforms!.. doh

So thanks for the comments ladies and gents.. Hope to read many more... Love my kids but it can be the loneliest job in the world!..sigh

Cheers folks..cheering

a man who cares about his children is attractive to a good woman, but it can be lonely waiting for the good ones to come along

I once dated a single dad with four children and was totally happy for a while - love is love no matter what the commitments of the other person, if somebody is that into you she wont have a problem with the kids........

I do think though that caution has to be taken in letting the children get fond of the woman you choose - if it goes wrong they are right in the firing line of losing somebody they have grown to accept and love.

The guy I got together with just wanted somebody who would be with the children while he went out all night with his brothers playing cards and boozing - he wanted to make sure somebody else would get them ready for school and make sure they were fed while he played - he just wasnt cut out for being a single dad cos his own stuff always came first........... it was a matter of weeks before he was staying out all night - I got outa there like greased lightening and wouldnt have any of it when he came round full of apologies and begging - Id seen his true colours and didnt like it..........

First and foremost, the children need stability and I suggest you give it lots and lots of thought before taking somebody to meet them...... Good luck Derbys wave

Thanks for that trish. Well that wouldn't be me, i love my kids and i'm not a pubs and clubs guy, i lived with someone a year and i did stuff for my kids. Didn't expect her to even though she wanted too.

I'm a full hands on dad, i love my kids, we doo allsorts, make things, bake things, play daft games, run riot in the gardens.Nothing is too much. I even get comments from people in the village about how good my kids are and how well i look after them!.. lol so i must be doing something right!..

Thanks for all the wonderful comments on here guys, this is like my new family!.. lol head banger conversing

haha i know everyone on here is a family that is why i can't get off!!

single dads show a greater understanding of responsibility (trust me something very hard to find in a man!)

i would rather date a single dad than just a single guy.

i have had one experience of a single dad and it wasn't good in all honesty well he had his son on weekends and was going through a custody battle at the time he was tooo wrapped up in himself and too obsessed with his ex (the kids mum) i didn't seem to really matter that much it all just seemed a ploy to get back at his ex he was good with my kid though knewhow to play with her properly and things

i'm a single dad of 1 and that seems to be enough to keep woman away, i know they all say wow what a great job ya doing but at the end of the night ya still go home alone.

maybe they look at us single dads as guys with baggage?

is it harder for single mums or dads?

Very interesting question! My ex was a single dad when I met him, with a son living with him and a daughter living abroad with her mum. I will be honest, it wasn't easy, but it was very rewarding. However the relationship ended badly and one of the hardest things for me is the fact that he wont let me have contact with his son, despite the fact we were together 2 1/2 years and lived together for 2 years.

I am a single mum now (yes, the ex above is the dad, and no he doesnt see his daughter - his choice entirely) and have found meeting people very very difficult. I am 27 and have a 14 month old daughter, and my experience so far is that no one wants to get involved with a woman with a baby, no matter what. I have been on my own with my daughter now for a year.

However I do think that having children of your own changes you (at least it has changed me and this is just my opinion of course!). It has made me far more wary of meeting people and dating - I guess I am just worried about messing my daughter about?

Just my (very long) opinion of course! lol
