shipoker58: duct tape and wd40....all a man needs outside of the bedroom
I have wd40 in my medicin cabnet, but that is another thread, wd40 will also release duct tape. Alaska is the duct tape capitol, more duct tape is sold there per capita than anywhere else and a very important note that i noticed by accident ,, duct tape conducts electricity. I learned this the knucklehead way.
mylifewithu: I fixed my car with Duct tape with out it my car wouldn't start
I fixed anything i can with it or super glue
Supper glue was originaly designed to be a subsatute for stitches. a version of it was used in the vietnaum war as 'sergical glue'. As they say bonds to skin and that was the origional idear.

I know about superglue being used to glue wounds , I have seen guys use it that way.

It's great for paper cuts or clean cuts of the sort, dont get it in the cut however,,, a clean cut from a sharp sourse will almost heal imedatily if put it back together, glasing with glue will hold a clean cut together and keep crap out wile the cells do their job.

One of my titles is sheet metal mechanic, i worked as a duct man and we tend to just put duct tape on our cuts ( its funny that on a job site you can find an electriction by looking for the guy with electrical tape on his fingers, or the insulator by finding his tape and my friend the carpenter will probably have a nail stuck somewhere) Well what i was getting at was i had to go to get stiches one day and the doctor said ' ya duct taped it?' as strang as it seems it did the trick untill i could get some sewing done.
IMmeURyou: it's funny how i've never seen duct tape used on duct work, isn't that what it's original purpose was?
I used to do duct work and all the tape is usualy used up by the time i actualy got to the job but we have other secret toys like elgen duct sealer , duct gasket and the mighty zap strap. The general public has not been introduced to these advancesments to duct tape because they are obviously not ready to even handle duct tape properly and or safely ( hair removal problems ,,,, please ).
mylifewithu: They come in pretty colors now too Very handy for tying up burglars , putting things back together at least till you can afford to buy a new whatever.
Lela, you are such an aesthetic person!!
I am the same way - hadn't tied a burglar even once before they came up with all these beautiful colors , but now... on a weekly basics can hardly wait till the next one shows up
