EnGee: Yes and I'm not too impressed really. The worst part was his wife, didn't sound as though she had a sincere bone in her body for what she was saying.

The Republicans will probably get the big vote (somehow) and then we'll have a woman v woman next time around and Palin will waltz it and that would be a good thing for the US.
But then, what does he need to impress us Europeans,or anyone North Of The Border for?dunno confused

SusieRR: Noooo they must not win!

did you see Obama on O'Reilly tonight? It was part 1.

O'Reilly gave him plenty of wiggle room. I'm suprised he finally went on Fox. Doesn't say much for him, does it. laugh

Since Obama won't help his brother in Africa.... maybe the DNC would send his step-brother George in Africa $12.00. That would double his monthly income. I'm suprised George wasn't in Invesco Field last week. (You know...the family unity thing) banana

HealthyLiving: Yes, I watched it and I also listened to Sarah Palin's speach last night on my way back from St.Paul, Mn.

I was up there for the Rally for the Republic and the Campaign For Liberty.

They sound very good to me.
But will they carry it out if elected?

Looks as if the Republicans are prepared to create the Greatest Scam in History, if they are not sincere.

It smells fishy to me...
He has Bush's support...
Everything he said was the complete opposite of how Bush has done things.

The elite will never go for it, unless they know something we don't know...???

Has me perplexed!!!

Something tells me Bush probably wouldn't support Obama...dunno

I think she was uncomfortable speaking before a large crowd. Not everyone can be an orator.
(For some of the things she's done in her life, I don't think it was to prep to be first lady)

As long as our Vegas schtick is not threatened.

He's doing okay, but progress is slow. Staying out here a third week now.

Well someone must have been listening...

This was posted on the newsweek site Monday Midday yesterday - and to top it off - it quotes a CBS poll. Note that the poll was conducted BEFORE the Palin VP acceptance speech! (Key points followed by links... Have fun and good night!) Julie

"A new CBS poll now shows that GOP Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has eradicated Democratic Presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama’s post-convention bounce that had him leading McCain by 8 points just a week ago:

The presidential race between Barack Obama and John McCain is now even at 42 percent, according to a new CBS News poll conducted Monday-Wednesday of this week.

...Translation: the GOP experience argument is working. So expect it to continue (if it’s not broke, don’t fix it…)."

I heard last night that 1,000,000 more listened to McCain's speech than "The Chosen One's" speech. Who'd have thunk it? I think 5,000,000 more would have listened to McCain if he'd had some styrofoam columns in the background. laugh

It was better than that, Indy..

"As a television draw, John McCain was every bit the equal of Barack Obama.

The GOP presidential candidate attracted roughly the same number of viewers to his convention acceptance speech Thursday as Obama did before the Democrats last week, according to Nielsen Media Research.

It marked the end of an astonishing run where more than 40 million people watched political speeches on three nights by Obama, McCain and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The Republican convention was the most-watched convention on television ever, beating a standard set by the Democrats a week earlier."

It was very strange to watch the RNC. It was as if the same people who gave speach after speach, about how intelligent the bush white house is, are now giving speach after speach about how things must change. Are we all living in the same country?

The RNC said nothing about any issue. Nothing. They have nothing to offer our country.
