mgkrebbs: I wonder if it should be a "crime" to be majorly responsible for giving the United States of America 8 years of, what is likely to down in history, the most squandering , corrupt, and destabilizing administration ever. An admin. that advocates torture, has gutted key aspects of the U.S. constitution. Has raised 'executive privilege' to a absurd level. Hundreds of 'Presidential Signing Statements' that say he can, in essence disregard Bills that he himself has just signed into law. Driven the economy from the largest surplus ever to the largest deficit ever. Bushies fabricated almost every fact on the run-up to the War On Iraq. Oh yeah, Karl is just a cute and cuddly little cherub indeed!

Do your homework: Klinton ok'd the use of torture over 30 times during his administration...Rendition.

Same old tired liberal rhetoric....

dazzling_dave: SIMPLE MATH:
2008 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE COMPARISON TALKING POINTS

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)
DIVIDEND TAX
MCCAIN 15% (no change)
OBAMA 39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')
INCOME TAX
MCCAIN
(no changes) Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250
OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts) Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!
INHERITANCE TAX
MCCAIN - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)
OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.
NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!
You can verify the above at the following web sites:

es/mccain_obama_offer_different_visions_on_taxes.html

Good points....we don't even need "simple math" to know that the 2 trillion dollars in proposed spending NoBama has his eyes on will bankrupt this nation....

If *I* had a business, I'd be looking for another country to move it to right about now....I'm sure there are plenty....

Skybow:
As far as her religion , I never brought that up but I do remember you "feeling good, like you knew you would" when Obama's Christianity was questioned.

She never attempted to ban any books: more liberal nonsense. The citizens of Palins state get a dividend check every year, from tax surplus! Name another state that does that? That runs their financial affairs so efficiently!

As far as NoBamas religion: didn't he just admit that he is, in fact, a MUSLIM? After insisting he is not.....? laugh

Shouldn't surprise ya girl! Liberals *always* assume that anyone who doesn't vote *their* way is ignorant, brainwashed or stupid...that they simply cannot be capable of rational, critical thinking and of making their own decisions...

It is not true that people are tricked into voting Republican.

People get the Government they deserve in a democracy. Yes, folks, it is not THEIR fault......it is all YOUR fault!

Nothing tricky about Republicans.....they tell you lies and run the country into the ground economically as well as starting expensive illegal foreign wars! Everyone knows this by now!

4 years of that and you voted them back in. No way can you blame anyone but the voters.

And if the voters want to do it again (perhaps just for a laugh) nobody can stop them and they can't blame it on anyone else afterwards!

That's democracy folks!!

Republicans play on religious people who live in a cult-like, Stepford Wife mentality... if people can seriously vote Republican again after all Bush has done, this country is going down the toilet.

OK, I've done my homework. I see where Clinton seems to be 'warm' to the idea of torture according to comments made. You are going to have to help me here, though, Honda. Please show us where it is written or testified to that he ever ok'd torture. Some facts would be nice.

By the way, I was never a fan of Bill Clinton. He led the way on World/ Free (?) Trade ie; NAFTA, etc., which ended up exporting most of the U.S.'s manufacturing and later IT jobs overseas.
