Ceres: A couple of men have told me over the last few months that sending messages by txt isn't really real - that is, whatever they say in txt isn't necessarily how they feel.
Alright, so they say this when they have lost their temper and txt something they really shouldn't have, but I can't quite get my head around this idea.
If txt words are not really true, does that mean I can stand up any date arranged by txt?
If txt isn't real, is email?

Hey Ceres , Well I think thats just a cop out , If a man is rude to me via text or anyother form of communication then theres da door pal !
I mean lets face it all communication comes from the brain if he is thinkin & textin , thinkin & emailin then sweets he is thinkin it !

Well, yes, of course it is a perfectly splendid excuse for bad behaviour that would otherwise earn a glass of water in the face, but thes eblokes are quite insistent about the unreality of txt. If this is the way they really think, how do they cope in the mdoern world?

What she said, my only concern is again that many things can be taken out of context in written form as emotion and body language are absent from the conversation making it read people as much as what they are saying.All my spelling mistakes in that previous post are a perfect example of why one should not txt and post at the same time.

Agreed,i missed a couple of words in my last post it was supposed to say "makes it hard to read people". I need a wake up shower and to get off here, I am becoming a thread hog! Addicted!!

Yep a huge cop out!!!! to me its just the most gutless excuse for anyman/woman, i mean if someone wants to say something pick up the phone and let your fingers do the walking, not talkingAlright, so they say this when they have lost their temper and txt something they really shouldn't have, but I can't quite get my head around this idea.

i would be giving these guys their marching orders quick smart, as if that is the case what do we classify as real and not real? if you have a disagreement with someone face 2 face, does that mean then that that disagreement is not real WTF!!!!and there is no difference to a face to face convo or a text, just the easy way out for some i think

This fool is a angry drunk that hasn't jumped to the next level yet. from what i see every time he's drunk or angry he is abusing you or whoever verbally by txt and then feebly tryin when sobering up 2 make you doubt your own judgement of the event. Which gives him get out of jail card and second chance that he doesn't bloody deserve as far as i am concerned what ever i txt to some one when im angry,pissed or happy is meant as I wrote it and in its true context as well

Ceres: The final chapter was actually written a couple of days ago, when he started another argument face-to-face, lost it totally, ordered me to drive him home, kept arguing, so I booted him out of my car.
He was about 30 km from his house.
Ya did the right thing, woooo hoooo go the strong girls, as much as it s possibly breaking your heart you truly did the right thing, but again my advice would be to get rid of him ASAP, look at you! your a good looking girl,you would have no probs meeting another guy, and NO ONE deserves to be with a sicko He was about 30 km from his house.
lostintherain: I met a mate here, we talked well through the phone then we even met in person - until then still not bad - then he started sending txt through , then he sounds totally different in the words with whom he was before...

It can be like that when the element of perceived anonymity becomes reality with the face to face meeting. It changes the way some people view you.
