I am an old lady, compared to you. So I will probably dress as one. Plus I ahve kids, so you know, some of my bits are a bit shrivelled from that torture...

But, you see, I look for no proof from anybody that I look ok.

I simply look in the mirror, check that I have not got spinach between my teeth, flick my hair, give myself a wink and tell myself, 'YOu look great'

My friends tell me the truth, but we are not in competition with each other, so therefore I have no wish to lose them.

We are all very certain that if we are happy with the way we look, then that is just bloody well ok. That is enough.

My daughter, on the other hand has a beautiful way sometimes, that can be amusing, but hurtful, she once told her friend 'You have fat ankles, you should not wear shoes with ankle straps and you could not have looked in the mirror before you left this evening and seriously think you looked smart'

But then she is a decade short of 60% of you, she will learn, we all do.

Why would anybody upset a friend? Sometimes it is not the message, it is the deliverance of the message.

Wanting to make a fool of a friend? I would not be a true friend.

I'll tell you how me and my friend will deal with it. I'm waiting for her reply. She might even ignore that, but yes, i got that friends are to do good and i do agree 100%.

Yes, I really am a mother. To more than my own, I have 101 of them.

And when you feel like you are 10, then put your weliies on, and go find some puddles. Jump in them and enjoy feeling 10.

I am 40, but I still jump in puddles...

I know, it is amusing.

But it works.

Sorts the good from the crap.

Try it, you may learn something.

And if, if, your friend has any ounce of feeling, cares and wants to share your time.

If she does not, then you really need to be careful what you say in future.
