I've never lost any friends just by simply telling the truth. Many people have a difficult time accepting criticism, of course, even if it is the supposed 'truth' ...
Though, I do know that they have felt mad or upset with me, because I was honest ... but the way I see it - it's mostly because of the fact that they probably just didn't want to accept it / deal with it - at that particular time, or ever, for that matter.
Not uncommon, really.
Reality can be harsh, no doubt.

I wondered if the friend meant she was being superficial or something perhaps, but the main point is hey, they've had a fight and it's hurt her. Not cool
I am single, comfortable & would love to go to NYC so it means a different thing for me!
