soul-mates ? It's certainly a nice thing to say, but is it really true, or is it just a matter of varying degrees of compatibility and/or complimentary personalities ? Many of us have heard the statement that "opposites attract". But do opposites lead to stable relationships ? Or, is that simply the fuse for an eventual explosive separation ? Some theorize that any two people are in constant flux. Meaning that they change in their degree of compatibility and that can be in either direction. What are your thoughts on this topic ?

No, it is a cliche.

Like 'broken heart'

But I do believe that two people can share everything.

Well, there can always be a tussle over those...

But then I would say, 'You keep the cover and cover me to keep me warm'

Any position between two people is never bad.

If it works for you fine. I think opposite attracts quite nicely at times.....but the energy has to be there or else someone is going to feel all tired and burn out.

I believe we can love more than one person in our lives...and also that people and partners come into our lives for a reason...BUT I also believe that there is only one person that we really connect on all levels with....and while I believe that yes opposites attract and in fact can actually compliment each other...both people in the relationship need to expect only what they are willing to give...in other words...if you want just a mediocre relationship and give of yourself as such...then expect a mediocre relationship...if you want a relationship built on trust yet aren't willing to trust or trust worthy...don's expect to have either from your partner either...too often we look only to our own expectations as was mentioned earlier and not to what we are willing or have to give ourselves...expecting what you aren't willing to give...creates an unequal unhealthy balance in the relationship.....wine

While I agree with a lot of this, giving itself is insufficient if both parties are not willing to do the same.

I'm not so sure about there being only one person who you can connect on all levels with either. Or even if there definitely necessarily IS one person for everyone.

Well I can only speak from my own experience...so far...I have never had anyone in my life whom I have connected with on all levels and I would like to believe that if I found that person...that there would certainly be enough love present that we wouldn't part for any other reason than one of us departs this world...that's the kind of connection that I am talking about....wave wink smitten
