Good point solitare! lol When I said eariler that I have the seat down, I never mentioned the lid to it. Normally before I flush I just slap down the seat and lid at the same time, resulting in a loud bang. I'm paranoid that somthing will come out the toilet if I flush with the lid open.

Up or down, I leave it as I found it. And it not that I don't care who falls in. Some women have a reason for leaving it up like it's easier to let their pet drink out of it, I heard that said once.

Just curious about this also. Do you guys ever fall in yourself from not putting it down? Never here about that if you do.

So what if he , or she , falls in? If it's flushed , is it not clean water? Perhaps annoying to get a wet butt....

What about hand washing after? Touching your own privates to do the deed. Are your privates not the cleanest part of your body? After all , they're inside all the time(supposedly) , and protected from dirt.

I know lots of energy saving techniques , Lioness!
Not only saving muscle energy by reduced seat-lowering;I save water and electricity by reusing underewear. All you have to do is turn inide-out , and wear the clean side next to your skin. Cut your washing in 1/2 right there! It helps to remove the labels so they won't show. And to prevent wearing backwards since no label , you can mark the front(or back) with a pen or something. I wrote this before , maybe in an early post. I tell this story to my kids all the time , usually in front of their friends.

By George, I think she is right!

I agree it might be kind of hard of you have a houseful, but if there is just the two of you, why not take turns?

When you get done, put it up or down for the other person.

You girls are too nice. Well, I figure 3/4 of the time it is used in the down position it should be more in the guys habit to from flipping it up to putting it down when they are done. You gonna start saying we should put the toilet seat up after we get done now? Who really wants to see that thing sitting there like that too? Looks sloppy, lol. It gets kind of tiring after a while everytime you have to go you have to do that for them when they were right there taking a leak staring at the damn thing. How lazy!!!

Hi Lionhearted,

I always put the seat down. I also put the lid down too. Although I would not mind leaving it up and letting my ex fall in, I would flush it really fast too, lol.
