It's ok, honestly..........I have several Romanian friends who just happen to be ladies, have fantastic personalities, are very talented and very beautiful - one is the most amazing photographic artist I've ever not met (known her for at least five/six years via the internet and I think she's 'GRRRRRRRrrrrrreat!).
If I wasn't taken already, a Romanian lady would be top of my wish list for Christmas!

Strange - this Romanian friend of mine is actually called 'Cristina' in real life and I adore her.......... (even though she is happily married) - I guess there are many kinds of love and I can declare my affection for her safe in the knowledge that she both trusts me and wouldn't touch me with a barge pole anyway!

I think you may perhaps be colouring your view of internet dating by a few poor experiences, I can put my hand on heart and say that I have chatted to many women here on SC for example, who on the whole have come across as genuine and nice people, yes a very minority were, lets just say, not seeking the same as myself. I have corresponded with a few in some detail, and met with even less, but those I met with were beyond any doubt, wonderful people, genuine and just as I expected from reading their messages and profiles, three in particular, have made a huge impression on my life.
As I said on another thread, give it time, all comes to those who wait.
